Hel Above – Norse Code’s small-batch coffee liqueur, handcrafted in Yorkshire, England and recognised across the UK for its depth, balance, and precision.

Hel Above is crafted using a blend of Latin American and African coffees, slow roasted to our exacting profile to highlight richness, sweetness, and balance for premium coffee liqueur production. The coffee blend itself is named after the Old Norse word for “Milk”. The beans are Great Taste Award winners (3-Star 2025, 2-Star 2023), roasted in Yorkshire by Danelaw. Blended with a smooth wheat vodka that acts as a blank canvas, the liqueur showcases the coffee's depth and natural sweetness.

On the palate, Hel Above delivers rich espresso, soft chocolate notes, and a clean, balanced finish. Perfect for espresso martinis, creative cocktails, or simply enjoyed over ice. Explore suggested coffee cocktails including Baby Guinness and Espresso Martini variations.

Coffee Liqueur Flavour Profile

Dark roast espresso from Latin America and Africa, slow roasted to highlight full-bodied intensity. Notes of Dark Chocolate, Black Treacle, Toasted Hazelnut, and Bonfire Toffee. Smooth, rich texture, low acidity, and versatile behind the bar.

Best Serves & Cocktails

  • Espresso Martini – bold coffee flavour that cuts cleanly through vodka
  • Coffee Negroni / Black Manhattan – adds depth without overpowering
  • On the rocks – simple, expressive, and beautifully smooth
